Animal C.A.R.E. Foundation is a 501c3 tax deductible animal welfare organization.
We are 100% volunteer based. All of our animals are in private foster homes. We have adoption events throughout the year, at different locations, within the Winston Salem area. We hold food drives at Lowe's Foods, at different Triad area locations. We hold special events, throughout the year, to raise awareness about the need for rescues and what we do. We also help owners keep their pets in their homes. ACF offers a monthly, low-cost Spay/Neuter Transport with special rates for those on government assistance, provides assistance with sick/injured pets, operates a small food pantry, and hosts a monthly low-cost shots clinic. We find beauty in the most incomprehensible places And the otherwise homely faces. It is our gift to see beyond the dirt, terror, pain, sadness, and defeat, and find the true soul that lies within. We are the hope for the hopeless. We are the voice of the voiceless. We ARE Rescue |

The Animal C.A.R.E. Foundation is a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer animal rescue organization serving the Davidson County, North Carolina area. We are dedicated to rescuing animals left homeless for whatever reason – animals in public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to pet overpopulation, animals given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect.
We place animals in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which starts with a fully, completed adoption application. Once completed, we will review. We take into consideration, all applications, but we also do not place on a first come, first served basis. We place animals in homes that we feel is best suited for both the animal and the family. We check vet references, two personal references, that you list on your application, as well as a home visit. We will adopt, anywhere in the US, BUT, all of the above still applies. Adoption fees vary. Each animal will have its own fee, shown, in each of their adoption listing. This fee covers all vaccines, microchip (dogs only) and spay/neuter.
Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist animals in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. To the extent our finances allow, animals in the greatest need take priority.
We serve our community and adopters by educating and encouraging responsible pet ownership. We offer programs to school children and community groups on the best practices of animal care.
We are determined to keep administrative expenses extremely low so that virtually every dollar taken in goes directly to the care of animals. Our group remains interested in and committed to the welfare of the animal beyond the adoption process.
Finally, we strive to work with area shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless pets.
